“The best things in life are nearest:  Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you.  Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life’s plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life.”  ~Robert Louis Stevenson

This is what my desk has looked like for many many months:

Papers papers everywhere! I have so much paperwork and was at a loss as to what I should toss and what I should save. How long do you need to keep bank statements? I didn’t know! Bless the internet, I found a website with all my answers. If you are at a similar loss, please click HERE and feel some relief.

Now, my desk looks like this:

Okay, so still slightly messy, but at least now I can see the surface. 🙂

Seeing the surface means having a surface upon which to do crafty projects. Yay! One that has been taking my attention: Postcrossing.

Send a postcard somewhere internationally, get a postcard from somewhere in the world in return.

As I have not yet been able to find postcards from Port Orchard (WTH?), I had to resort to making my own.

This one is on it’s way to Moscow to a married mother of 3.

I’ll use any excuse to get all gluey. 🙂

And really, what post would be complete without a picture of cute puppies?

    I heart you so much!

Heya, lady! I hope spring is finally springing around you and that life is treating you well.

I have a request to make. I’m probably being overly cautious, but would you mind taking down the picture of the package I sent you that has my address on it? I’m starting to have more people I don’t know reading my blog and I am a little nervous about having my address floating around. I think it was on your Feb. 17th post. Thank you! 🙂

  3. No problem, Elizabeth. Done and done! 🙂

  4. Elizabeth Says:

Thanks very much! So how’s life? I haven’t seen you at the top of the “recent posts” in my blog list for a while! 🙂

  5. Life is good! Busy working like a beaver and saving money for our trip to Portugal!

Looks like your little house is coming along. 🙂 I keep track of the progress. I can’t wait to see it when it’s complete. So much hard work! Hope you like my latest post on the yard. I know you appreciate that kind of stuff. I am looking forward to planting my little seeds soon, especially the cilantro for our Vietnamese salads this summer!! 🙂
